The ADS Service Manager is an integral part of the team of ADS Service Managers who are responsible for managing the efficiency and profitability of Advanced Dairy Service as part of the overall company business.

The role includes management of repair/install operations and projects, to include dairy equipment maintenance and milk quality operations, as well as the understanding and promotion of Dairy Automation and IT services. This position will participate in daily collaboration with the team of ADS Service Managers and Service Coordinator to plan and follow-up on job assignments for the Service Technicians. The ADS Service Manager – Repair & In-stall position reports directly to the General Manager of Advanced Dairy Service, Inc.

· Lead and manage your team of Service Technicians by providing technical expertise, troubleshooting and problem solving on the dairies, to ensure the highest possible level of performance and customer satisfaction.

· Work with the TEAM of ADS Service Managers to guide the efficiency and budget management of Advanced Dairy Service through service preparation, planning, and problem solving.

· Work closely with your team members to ensure that all project requirements; budgets, deadlines, and schedules are on track, including project deliverables and appropriate time frames, project specific parts and special orders, preparing status reports, and establishing effective project communication plans, and the execution of those plans.

· Collaborate daily (before day’s end) with the ADS Management Team and Service Coordinator to plan out the next day’s task assignments for your technicians.

· Take an active role in the Daily ADS morning meetings in delivering task assignments, and any other pertinent Company, policy, or procedural information.

· Prepare for and Participate in the ADS Managers Weekly Tactical Meeting

· Understand the metrics, income, and expenses of the service department to keep it running effectively and profitably.

· Complete Quality Assurance reviews of repair/install projects to ensure a high level of efficiency and customer satisfaction

· Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders (Customers, team members, and management team) about strategy, adjustments, and progress.

· Collaborate with the ADS Service Managers and Sales Team to assist with bids and labor quotes for special projects. Assist in planning, organizing, and managing the special project installation, and installation teams to maximize productivity

· Address negative performance or conduct related issues with your direct reports. Document all ‘course correction’ conversations – verbal or written – and submit to HR Manager.

· Ensure the ongoing competency level of technical staff and yourself, by providing training opportunities, as you deem necessary, to continually improve the technical knowledge of your service technicians and their level of customer service.

· Be available as a resource for all invoice questions to ensure accurate and timely billing to our customers.

· Follow the structured Onboarding schedule with all new hires under your charge to ensure new employees are on pace with their development and resolve any questions they may have.

· Work with your team of ADS Service Managers and GM of Advanced Dairy Services to plan personnel requirements.

· Build relationships with Dairy owners and employees to become a resource for the Dairymen.

· Write and administer annual performance evaluations for your direct reports, and 3, 6, & 9 month evaluations for new hires under your charge.

· Participate as needed in the new applicant interview process.

· Maintain the Company vehicle that you would be driving.

· Fulfill ‘Manager on call’ rotation requirements.

· Maintain a clean driving record.

· Schedule is typically 7:30am to 5pm – Monday through Friday.
