WAREHOUSE TECH/Back Up Driver - Kansas

The role of Warehouse Manager/Backup Driver plays directly into our ability to deliver on this mission of sales and service. You are responsible for providing logistical and delivery support to the Kansas Sales Team in the Warehouse and at our customer’s dairies. You will report to the General Manager-Kansas Division.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Abide by our principles of Honesty, Integrity, Quality and Professionalism

    • ​Execute all daily activities for the Warehouse in an effective and efficient manner.

    • Warehouse maintenance, loading and unloading trucks at our Garden City, KS facility.

    • Learn and continue to develop IBA Purchasing and Inventory Control systems.

    • Follow accurate Purchasing and Receiving (Physical) processes.

  • Handle the inventory management of chemicals and teat dips on the bulk delivery truck and at dairy sites; utilizing Inventory Transfers and Invoicing in QuickBooks, as well as Excel spreadsheets on assigned Surface.

    • Safely handle and repackage chemicals to meet warehouse needs.

    • Understand the ins and outs of chemical and teat dip usage at each farm.

    • Work with the KS General Manager to develop route efficiencies.

    • Be observant for problems and opportunities on farm and relay them to KS General Manager.

    • Work hand in hand with the Kansas Dairy Depot Team and the Colorado Advanced Dairy Service Team to provide outstanding customer service.

    • Develop relationships with the farm staff and management by being an asset to them.

    • Learn our main product lines (IBA & non-IBA) and how they can best be used by our customers.

    • Learn the basics of the following: good cow milking, proper washing procedures for milk pipelines and milk storage tanks, calf care and calf raising protocols, proper hoof care techniques-products & foot bath protocols.

    • Deliver products to new & existing dairy customers in the Southwest Kansas area.

    • Transportation of chemical and other loads from Evans, CO to Garden City, KS

    • Maintain Class “A” CDL with Haz-Mat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements, as well as DOT Med Card

    • Hours generally 7:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday

QUALIFICATIONS:​

  • A valid Class “A” CDL with Haz-Mat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements, and a good driving record

  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check

  • Ability to lift 75 pounds and roll 55 gallon drums

  • Highly motivated and independent self-starter

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Basic to intermediate computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, Excel)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong oral communication skills
